Courses for Existing Rowers

Wendy offers the following courses to other clubs as well as our own:

British Rowing/CPGA Level 1 Coxing & Steering Certificate for Fixed Seat boats.

Level 2 British Rowing/CPGA Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop.

Both of the above courses are run as a stand alone unit and as part of the Level 2 Coaching course.

Within the club, she responds to any request for training and will find out who can run such a course & facilitate it if possible. For instance, this year WRC have run:

The RYA VHF Short range Marine radio certificate (10 WRC members + 7 from other clubs)

The Level 2 Powerboat courses (9 WRC members)

Other ideas for the future include Health & Safety training; First Aid training; Man overboard training; Understanding Flares; Racing Cox training and Safety Boat experience.
